The Skinny Kitchen in Canterbury, London and Ibiza

One of my top restaurants to visit is the pink heaven that is the Skinny Kitchen.

The Skinny Kitchen has been a staple and on heavy rotation on my list since a few years back when I discovered it. We’ve been through a lot together hhahhaha I’m so comfortable here I even go alone for breakfast or brunch. It still counts as ‘on my own’ if I’ve got my MacBook or iPad with me right?? with headphones in?

Confession time

I’ve not actually visited the branches in London or Ibiza yet. It’s on my list though! Maybe not Ibiza so much as the London branches (Ealing Broadway and Angel Islington).

I’ve got two sayings in life, ‘You break it you bought it’ and ‘I licked it so it’s mine’ and as if it’s meant to be… the Angel Islington branch has a huge (pink of course) neon sign on the wall with those exact words! (the licked it one, not the break it one lol) I mean come on, if that’s not a sign (no pun intended) that I need to visit I don’t know what is hahahaha

This review will be all about the Canterbury branch as that is my local.

The Interior

This place used to have a black and green vibe to it, inside and out, but now its all about the pink and marble and you have no idea how happy this makes me! There’s just something about pink and marble that speaks to me on another level. Always fresh flowers on the table. During Halloween they had cute little mini pumpkins on each table and at Christmas they had a pink Christmas tree in the window.

The amazing feature flower wall in the window is so cute and I bet a lot of time and effort went in to making this beauty.

They also have an upstairs seating area with more tables so there is plenty of room for everyone. Even the toilet is cute!

on my last visit I noticed they have swapped out the white chairs for cute and oh so comfy pinks chairs. Love!!

I wish they would get a cute pink neon sign here too lol

The Food and Drinks

I’ll be honest with you, I’m not a healthy food person. What I mean is – I won’t go out of my way to have food purely based on it being healthy. I will eat food that makes me happy and smile and go Mmmmmm and the food at Skinny Kitchen ticks all those boxes for me and as an added bonus is healthy!

They have a good menu for breakfast, brunch, and dinner and have an extensive drinks menu from protein shakes and coffee to alcohol beverages. The Angel Islington branch even has bottomless brunch with Prosecco or Pornstar Martinis and they call it the ‘F*cking Fabulous bottomless brunch’; £20 two courses / + £25 for bottomless Prosecco (+ £10 for unlimited pornstar martinis) I mean that’s super affordable right?!

Breakfast consist of Acai Bowls, Smashed Avocado, Poke Toast, Sweetcorn Fritters, Pancakes etc and brunch is full of Bowls, Burgers and Salads and dinner is about the Tacos, Coconut Curry and Buckwheat Noodles.

Basically, there is something for everyone! Morning Noon and Night! Still on my ‘to eat list’ are the tacos and Satay Bowl because they sound lovely.

A big massive thank you to the owners Lois and Joel for bringing such an amazing concept and pretty place to Canterbury! and of course thanks to the staff at the Canterbury branch for making each visit a joy…which is pretty much every weekend hahahahah

If there was one improvement I would suggest it would be to introduce a loyalty card scheme. Maybe something that would give you a free coffee or juice free for every x amount you purchase.

The Verdict
